Switching Courses/Sections (Assignment scores and feedback transfer)

Hello,

We have had some students changing sections and courses (Very typical in any HS) so how can we transfer assignment scores and comments created in PTP? Is there a way we can automate this?

Thank you for taking the time to post your question to the Community.

Currently, the only way to copy assignment scores to another section with a different teacher is to export and import the scores.

If the student is moving to another section but staying with the same teacher, there is an existing process to copy the assignment scores.

Use the following guide (link is below) for the steps on both scenarios.

At this time, there isn't a way to copy comments and paste them to another section.

And there isn't a way to automate the copy assignment scores process.

I do not have access to powersource yet and powerschool support is not helping me with that.

Until the PTP documents are migrated to Community, there isn't a way to access that article without a PowerSource account.

If you're able to speak with your technical contact, they might be able to get the document for you.

If I am reading the release notes correctly, this will be much easier with the release of 19.4:

I know that your post is older, but I came across it and there's some updated functionality. I've attached a step-by-step guide I created recently that I share with teachers when we have to close sections and move their students to new courses. I hope you find it helpful.
