Recently I have been searching for a way to run a report on a group of students (for example, my 8th-period class) that tells me if they are missing any assignments in any of their classes. Ideally, once I hit run, the report would give me an alphabetized list of all students in that group/class, show the names of assignments they are missing, and if they are missing assignments in multiple classes display all the missing assignments.
After asking around, no teacher in my school knows how to do this, but many would use it if it is available. Currently, I can only get I report of students' missing assignments in my class, but not other classes. Would it be possible to create such a report when logged in as an administrator?
Any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated and truly increase the value of your software. Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.

Teachers should be able to run a report to see all students that have not completed an assignment in the teacher's class. The report will be organized by assignment and not by the student. I have provided a link below that will guide teachers through the process of generating an Assignment Report for missing assignments that are organized by assignment.
I have submitted a feature request on your behalf to have the report built within PowerSchool SIS to allow teachers to run a report to show missing assignments from all classes for the teacher's students
Thank you for your response, it seems like you did not understand my question. As I stated in my post, I understand how to run a multi-function assignment report to summarize students' missing assignments in my class. However, I want to be able to run a report that shows assignment students are missing in ALL of their classes, not just mine. Is it possible to run such a report as a teacher or administrator?
I apologize for the misunderstanding!
To protect the privacy of student data, teachers can only view the missing assignments for students in the teacher's classes.
Since we shared that we have escalated a feature request on your behalf to have the report built within PowerSchool SIS to allow teachers to run a report to show missing assignments from all classes for the teacher's students, I always wanted to share information on how to run a multi-function assignment report as well to provide the most informative report on missing assignments that is currently built into PowerSchool SIS.
Jamie,
Thanks for the response. I now understand it is not possible to run such a report from a teacher account; however, can it be done by an administrator? If so, how can this be accomplished?
Thank you for your response!
There is a plug-in available called Missing Assignment Pages in the PowerSource Exchange that will show a student's missing assignments in all classes and the page can be printed. I recommend reaching out to a Designated Support Contact within your district to discuss the option of viewing and installing this plug-in within your district. The Designated Support Contact can review rather the plug-in will allow PowerSchool Admin and/or teachers to run the report.
Jamie,
Thank you for providing this solution. However, after speaking with my district's tech coordinater, it seems we cannot install plugins due to issues with FERPA and student privacy. Is there another way to run a report that shows the assignments students are missing in ALL of their classes without using this plugin?
Thanks for all your help thus far.
Hi @jradey,
Thank you for looking into the plug-in!
Currently, the plug-in is the workaround for printing a list of missing assignments for all of a student's classes. I have placed an emphasis on the feature request with the PowerTeacher Pro Product team. The Product team reviews every suggestion that is submitted to determine if the request can be built within the product.

Sowmya,
Thank you for your response. However, after researching this a bit further, I am wondering if there is another solution. When an administrator logs in to Powerschool, would it be possible to run a report of all the missing assignments a student has in all classes by using the DDE (direct data export) feature? If so, could you please send along instructions on how I might accomplish this?
Hi @jradey,
Thank you for posting in the Community!
The administrators might have access to run the report for all missing assignments for all the students through the Data Export Manager. I recommend reaching out to the district administrators who would be able to run the report for all missing assignments using Data Export Manager.

This plugin would likely work as you can filter anything. https://support.powerschool.com/exchange/view.action?download.id=1092&fromSearchResults=true
