Would you please check if the date of the first day of the Current School Year calendar matches with the enrollment date of the student? If the date does not match adding the dates of the first two days to the Current school year might fix the issue.
If you still are not able to change the attendance, I would recommend that you reach out to the district directly informing about the issue.
