Report Card - Standard Grades

My special teachers (music, art, P.E) PowerTeacher gradebooks are not showing Standards Grades under their grading options for my elementary school (K-4th). How do I get this to populate and now T1 has been locked, can I unlock it?

I am new in this position, so I truly appreciate all support!

If there are no Standards to grade at Grading>Standards in PT Pro, it is likely that the Standards are not linked to the correct courses. Standards live at District Office, and you will need to adjust the Courses each are linked to. You can do this manually if you are new; it is the safest way.

If the teachers do not see the Standards link at all in the Grading menu, the teacher must adjust their display settings in PT Pro. You can also do this on the Admin side.

You can unlock reporting terms by simply disabling the setting and then re-enabling it when teachers are done, or you can unlock individual sections via Teacher Schedules.

I have attached screenshots for reference.

Thank you so much!! For the district management>academics, everything is as you have it in your attachment. However, in the teacher information section should I check the box that says, "Teachers score this standard" and "Include comments"? I am checking the gradebook afterwards.

If you would like teachers to grade the Standard, you must check "Teachers Score this Standard." I cannot speak to the Comment aspect of your question without knowing much more about how you set up things like report cards. In the districts I work with, "Comment Standards" are ungraded and used specifically for Comments, not grades.

Okay thank you. I am struggling with unlocking the term so I can update the display setting in PowerTeacher Pro Gradebook. I see that, that is where my issue is, they "show standards pages and links were not checked.

The comments for the elementary actually is not needed, as I can see on the report.

You should not need to unlock a reporting term to do that. Teachers can also do it themselves in their own gradebooks.

For me on the admin side it is in read only mode and I am not able to check those boxes in the display settings. It is saying T1 is already completed.

Yes, those are informational. Admin users have read-only access to PT Pro. This is by design. You cannot make changes to teacher gradebooks as an Admin user. The "Whatever term is already completed" is purely informational and has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on the functionality of the gradebook. That is actually different than a Locked Reporting term. Locking a reporting term prevents teachers from entering grades in that term. You can force the change in Display Settings out from the Admin side, but that is a global setting that will affect all teacher gradebooks in the building, and teachers that do not ever grade Standards may have turned that off intentionally.

Easiest thing to do is just tell teachers to enable the setting themselves.
