Providing lunch for an external school

Our County office has a program for students who are not enrolled in our school but we provide lunches. We would like to submit these students for state/federal lunch reimbursement (those who are eligible for free or reduced). We use eTrition/Harris School Nutrition Solutions for lunch management.

Has anyone added students from an external school and successfully received reimbursements? Did you add the students in PowerSchool or just in lunch management? What special coding did you use if in PowerSchool?

Thank you !

Hey @csteyer,

Thank you for reaching out for assistance on the PowerSchool Community!

In order for a student to be generated in state reports to receive state/federal lunch reimbursements, the student must be enrolled in an active school for the school district. We strongly recommend working through eTrition/Harris School Nutrition Solutions for lunch management.

Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any further queries.
