PowerTeacher Attendance report- what does data mean

"PowerTeacher Attendance report"- what does data mean         has teacher name then , under "No attendance for Meet"      I get  " 03(A), 04(A), 12(A)  "    what does the numbers and Letters mean?   It is a report for " attendance not reported"       How do I get them off;, that is, Fix the attendance error.     Mostly I just need to know if the numbers are 'Periods" or Student ID of some sort.

The number means the Periods and the letter is the Day. So, 03(A) means the 3rd period on Monday.

Thank You.       For a some teachers, I am get three, or more identical entries for one date; e.i.    08(A), 08(A),08(A).         Does that mean three students were not reported?

HI @Hartka47,

Thank you for reaching out to PowerSchool Community for assistance!

@RachelC3, thank you for jumping in and providing information.

@Hartka47, PowerTeacher Attendance report generates a list of which teachers have not taken attendance. It would normally mean that the teacher has not taken attendance in that section.  It might list expression three times if the teacher is set up to teach three sections at one time, so that is technically 3 entries. Teachers who have taken attendance in PowerTeacher for all of their classes will not show up on this report.

Thank You, but the report does not give the students name who was missed--- or is it only an error if ALL students were missed that day/(period?).  Mybe there is a report each teacher can run to get a list of which student on which days were missed?

Try the Absentee Report on the admin portal-secretaries can use this report and send it to teachers. Or, search for Attendance Today plugin in PowerSource Exchange!

The PowerTeacher Attendance Report under Functions>Attendance from the Start Page is only a report on which teachers did or did not take attendance. It is not meant to return any student data.

If a teacher or admin use multi-day or the grid icon to take attendance, why does it not remove the teacher/section from report?  Teachers are using multi-day in PT Pro and I myself have input attendance for teachers using the grid in PS SIS.  Either way when I look at the report for teachers missing attendance, the teacher is listed.

Hi @sporter,

Thank you for the query in PowerSchool Community!

We would want to take a look at your setup to see what is causing the teacher/section exists in the report when using multi-day or the grid icon to take attendance.  We recommend reaching out to the Designated Support Contact within your school district who should be able to connect with the PowerSchool SIS Support team to look into this further and troubleshoot the issue for you.
