PowerSchool Professional Learning and Schoology question

When I create a course in PowerSchool Professional Learning and connect it to a Schoology course, it is releasing the Schoology course to participants who sign up even though I set the start date of the course for July 1st. How do I get the course from being accessed in schoology by registered participants, but allow them to sign up before the course starts?

Their permissions probably allow them to see upcoming courses.
