At our school teachers are required to record the meeting attendance at every meeting (we have 8 class periods in the day and 2 recess periods that do not count for ADA). I need to calculate the Daily attendance from the periods the students attended. I followed the instructions in the Knowledge Base (Set up the FTE, Bell Schedule, then the Calendar, Attendance Preferences, Daily attendance Conversion, etc.) but I only get reports for meeting attendance and Daily Attendance is defaulting to all present even when some students clearly are above the absences threshold to be considered absent.
Attendance Preferences:
Meeting and Daily recording Methods are both activated. Default attendance recording page is Meeting.
Full Time Equivalences: I have only one (Full Time) that is used for all the school; Default Attendance Mode: Meeting; Attendance Conversion: Period to Day.
Bell Schedule:
I have only one Bell Schedule with 10 periods, 8 of them Count for ADA. None counts for Daily attendance as I'm not interested on doing an attendance Bridge.
Calendar:
Is configured with our Bell Schedule
Attendance Codes:
Both Excused an Unexcused Absences are configured as "Absent".
Attendance Conversions:
Period to day Defined, starting from three absent periods reports attendance value of 0 (Absent).
Course Sections:
Record Attendance Mode: Meeting; Record attendance: Each meeting Separately.
