Parent Emails About Stolen ID

We have had parents being sent out emails from PowerSchool about the stolen information.  We knew it was going out, but the email address is very "scammish".  Can anyone tell me if it is legit?

I believe the from addresses for those emails are:

Ps-sis-incident@mail.csid.com
Ps-sis-incident@mail1.csid.com
Ps-sis-incident@mail2.csid.com

We had a parent receive an email, our district was not involved in the data breach, so now we have a parent concerned and potentially more to follow, is this a money grab frm experian?

Did the student attend another district (ever) that was involved in the breach? Shouldn't be a money grab as the credit monitoring being offered has no cost.

The parent might be listed as a contact on a student table in another school district.

Check with your PS administration.  When we opted in for monitoring, we were sent the following email:

Your submitted files are now being actioned with our credit/identity monitoring partners and relevant regulatory stakeholders.
Notifications to potentially impacted students/parents and staff will soon be sent.
These notifications will come from Experian, using one of the following email addresses:

Ps-sis-incident@mail.csid.com

Ps-sis-incident@mail1.csid.com

Ps-sis-incident@mail2.csid.com
