PSL Deleting assignments which is moved from the other class page

We have asked teachers to move their last year's class page into a new master class. However some teachers included all assignment content and switched them into the new master class. Is it safe to delete those assignments which has been already closed and the date is for last school year?

Yes, deleting those old assignments will be fine. If the old assignments are in a new Class whatever changes you make will be specific to whichever Class Page you are in.
