Not receiving verification emails

I am not receiving any verification emails from my school's powerschool portal, which means I can't log into my new account. It just keeps telling me I have to click the link in my verification email. I've pressed resend email a few times over the past couple days. The email isn't showing in my inbox or junk folder. The tech person at the school doesn't know what verification email I am talking about, so there is no help there.

The school was finally able to resolve the issue by changing my password to my email address. I'm not sure how that works but I'll take it!

Thank you for reaching out in the PowerSchool Community!  It appears you had a ticket open with the support team and they advised you to reach out to your District for further assistance.  Were you able to get in contact with someone at your District to assist you with this issue?

I have been trying to work with the help desk at my kids school for the past two days on this issue and they are stumped as well. It looks like my kids won't be able to be issued laptops this year because powerschool isn't going to let me log in unless I click a link in an email that it is never going to send me. This is pretty ridiculous.
