New SSID's from CALPADS to Powerschool

I have the .txt file from CALPADS with the new SSID's, but I can't find the procedure for how to batch import them into Powerschool.  Got this far:  Special Functions/Importing & Exporting/Data Import Manager.  But do I need to convert the original caret delimited file to a tab delimited file Excel file so I can put column titles on ?  And what column titles do I need?  Any input would be helpful.

Thanks, Barbara

Hi @blougee,

Thank you for posting your question in the PowerSchool Community!

We do have a method to import the SSID file into PowerSchool SIS. That method is detailed in the California State Reporting Guide in the Statewide Student Identifier (SSID) section here:

https://docs.powerschool.com/USACA/state-reporting-setup/student-setup/entering-student-and-guardian...

Please let me know if this was helpful in answering your question, or if I can be of further assistance.

We recommend following the steps mentioned below to assist you with the steps to import a file:

  1. Navigate to Start Page > Special Functions > Importing and Exporting > Quick Import.
  2. Select the Students table.
  3. Choose TAB as the Field Delimiter and CR as the End of Line Marker.
  4. Choose the file to Import.
  5. Check Suggest Field Map.
  6. Click Import.
  7. Click submit.
