Moving Course Sections To A Different Period

Hello,

I am trying to move sections from courses to a different period in my bell schedule. It states that I cannot do this because attendance records will be orphaned. We understand this, but since PowerSchool is new to us we have learned some things since school started and are forced to move some sections to different periods in our school day. Is there a way that I can move a section to a different period when attendance records are attached to it? I cannot delete the sections because we do not want to lose grades that teachers have entered. Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance!

@jhgreenYou will need to create a new section with the correct expression, drop all of the students from the old expression and enroll them in the new one you have created.

@jhgreen   Sorry, this ridiculous forum doesn't allow you to edit your posts after a certain amount of time. The grades will not follow the students, but PowerTeacher Pro now allows for the transfer of grades.

Hi @JeffG9!

Thank you for sharing this feedback with us!

We have configured the settings for editing a post to remove the time limit now.  This ability should be available for Designated Support Contacts and users with a PowerSource account in PowerSchool Community.

@ReshmaAre we only allowed to edit a post once? Because I can no longer edit the post I just made saying "Great news."

@ReshmaNew setting doesn't seem to be working, as I do have a PowerSource account and the Edit Reply timers seems to still be on. Do we need to log out and back in?

Hi, Jeff!

This is a setting change so it may require you to log out and login again to update that setting.  Are you still having an issue editing the post?
