Can our hallway lockers and combination series be uploaded into PowerSchool and then auto assign lockers and combinations to students
Hi @mwright2
For us to assist you further, would you please confirm the name of the PowerSchool product? Are you are referring to PowerSchool SIS or PowerSchool Learning?
I would like information on this as well. Our secretaries manually change everyone and it's very time-consuming. We are using PowerSchool SIS.
@mwright2 @sarahkershaw It is not part of the Core PowerSchool Product, but the PS PowerPack includes Locker Management.

Hi @mweight2
Currently, PowerSchool does not have the capability to auto-assign lockers or combinations to students. You can share this idea as an Enhancement Request on PowerSchool Ideas Portal so that the product team can take a look at this. This article should walk you through how to raise an Enhancement Request.
The only way to enter Locker numbers is either manually fill the information on the student's Modify Info screen or through a Quick Import to the Students table.
You will need to Export and Import the data as follows:
Log in to the School and click on 'All' to select All Active Students in that School
In the bottom right-hand corner under the list of Students click the drop-down arrow for Group Functions and select 'Quick Export'
Enter the following fields to be exported:
Student_Number
Locker_Number
Locker_Combination
Click Submit to Export the records
You can then open up that 'tab-delimited text file' in Microsoft Excel, modify the Locker_Number & Locker_Combination as needed
Save the file as a 'tab-delimited text file'
Back in PowerSchool go to System > Page and Data Management > Quick Import
Select the Table = Students
Click Browse to select your file
Click Import button
The next page should have all 3 fields auto-mapped
Towards the bottom of the page select the radio button labeled 'Update the student's record with the information from the file being imported'
Submit the Page to complete the Import
Hello,
Thank you for this information. Does it matter if lockers are set up prior to or after year-end rollover or does it matter?
Thanks,
Sue
Hi @SueH7
If you are using Powerpack Locker Management then it is not affected by EOY processes within SIS.
So it shouldn't matter if Lockers are set up before or after year-end rollover since we have the option within Locker Management itself to roll over the Padlocks to their next combinations.
Please let us know if this helped or in case of further queries.
Thank you for this information and for the step by step. We are also new to PowerSchool and just realized we do not have this functionality, that is part of our current SIS. I doubt an enhancement is possible where managing lockers is part of the add on PowerPack
Is there a way to export Locker_Number(s) that have not been assigned?
