Issue with "Maximum Consecutive Periods"

Hi everyone--

Has anyone else had an issue when the "Maximum Consecutive Periods" is ignored?  We have it set to 3 and yet teachers are being scheduled for 4 in a row.  Powerschool has us elevated to Tier 2 for support but the clock is ticking!!

Thanks in advance.

Brian

Hi @brianvohden

Would you please confirm if the option "Is Always Free?" is checked under the Preference tab before running the build?

I would also check that the teacher doesn't have too many assignments. Another thing to consider is if you are building a schedule that includes prep periods or duties...You know the teacher doesn't have kids that period but the scheduler doesn't. I have all of my teacher set to the max consecutive bc we build in department preps and individual preps and if I lowered the Max we'd never get a build.
