Hi @TameishaP,

Thank you for reaching out for assistance through PowerSchool Community!

Some pages are open to all Community Members while others are restricted to certain roles within a district such as a Designated Support Contact.  If you are not a Designated Support Contact and you feel you should be a Designated Support contact, I recommend reaching out to a DSC in the district to request assistance with PowerSchool Product.

You can also email businessoperations@powerschool.com and PowerSchool will work with your school district to request the role is added to your PowerSchool account on your behalf.

Here I have a great article addressing Getting started on PowerSchool Community as Designated Support Contact.

If you are a Designated Support Contact and you are unable to access certain knowledge base articles and discussion forums in the Community, I recommend reviewing the tips below to ensure your PowerSchool Community account is set up to allow the correct access.

  • If you have created an account in the PowerSchool Community recently, it can take a few hours to allow the access level to update to your account.
  • We encourage users to create an account using their staff email address

once you have access to see the articles regarding recommit after rolled over,

it's not so hard to do that,

we just did it for the first time and it's worked.

Hello

So am I reading it correctly that if we are on PS SIS Version 19.4.5.0, we do not have to do anything before we recommit whereas older version of PS have to delete records?

Hey @mallyl,

Thank you for your query in PowerSchool Community!

Yes, you are right about that conclusion.  You don't have to delete records or do anything before recommitting with the latest version of PowerSchool SIS.

I was looking for the same article just to confirm that a recommit CAN be done. It seems our school's schedule was committed and then another school's was not, which has resulted in a delay of rolling things live.

So just to be clear, if we're using PowerSchool Version 21.4.2.0, we should be able to recommit our schedule without needing to delete records?

Thanks for any responses!
