Highlighting issues in ELA testing

It is incredibly frustrating when students are working on ELA tests that the highlighter function does not transfer from question to question. Typically as a skill, I have students re-read the passage and highlight important terms in their first reading such as the main idea, any keywords, etc. Then, as students work through questions they are able to refer back to their highlighted notes. It is incredibly frustrating that I cannot have students make these notes in the passage because they disappear when moving forward to new questions. Is there a way possible for this to be made an option in the settings tab so that their highlights become permanent in the passage and carry through the section?

Thank you for reaching out to PowerSchool Community with your concern.

Currently, we do not have the ability to transfer the highlighter function from question to question.  However, we have an enhancement request in the PowerSchool Ideas Portal on the same requirement, and we recommend upvoting the idea if you would like to see this functionality with the product in the future:

• Be able to tie a passage directly to more than one item.

Hi! @Anna_Harding_AACPS 

The idea number is "PMA-I-229" and the title of the feature request on the Ideas Portal is "Be able to tie a passage directly to more than one item".  

You can view the idea number by selecting the title of the idea to view the details.  The idea number is located to the right of the home symbol.  The idea number can be shared with other members to allow them to easily locate, vote, and comment on the idea.
