Final Grades - INC and Exempt

Hi All-

As we close the third trimester, many of our students have INC grades (we go to codes and choose "INC") - when we choose INC the exempt button also gets selected. Is that to exempt the final grade for that course from GPA calculations? The report card says "I" and their percentage, so everything looks good.

Hi @aobarzanek (Anna),

That will depend on how the code is set up in the Grade Scale. If you are an Admin user with access, go to Setup>District>Grade Scales>Select the Grade Scale (it is likely "A Special Codes Example" or something along those lines).

As you can see in the screenshot, there are options to exempt the code from GPA, Final Grade calculation, or a combination thereof.
