Federal Race Codes issue

Hi all, 

I am currently working in a district who is moving all data from one database to another. We are having an issue with migrating our race and ethnicity data. Should we use all five federal race codes, or do we need to add our own codes to fulfill the MA requirements?

We request you to provide us with more clarification on the data you trying to move and to which database. As different states depending on the requirements need to add new codes to fulfill their state requirements.
