Exit Types

I have some errors in my Exit types.

These seniors have been marked accordingly  NG-12 Failed due to lack of credits....that is why they can not graduate.  They have not earned the credits to graduate for a diploma.

They can not be as noted in the report 10 or 11 (or 00 as seen on the student screen).....
10 = Foreighn Exchange Student - none of these students are Foreign exchange
00= Exiting PreK or service
11 = the option does not exist for me to choose

Transfer student out with another exit code, then manipulate the data using DDA

I am the Central Office person so I have sent your response to our counselor at the high school.

Hello, the Counselor is not familiar with DDA? Could you please direct us on this matter?

Only system adminstrators should be using DDA (and even then, very sparingly). By absolutely no means should any line-of-business user have access to DDA.

Then can you read the first e-mail sent to PowerSchool regarding exit-type errors?

@JeromeO and @carolkennard, thank you for jumping in and offering your assistance!

@bbush, We do not recommend providing an Exit Type unless the student is actually exiting such as graduating.  The Exit Type should be blank unless they are a Sped student and then they are retained and should be marked with Exit Type NG-11.  If they are failed, then they should be marked as retained.

The Error for 10 or 00 is just a warning and not what should be populated for exit type unless it applies to that student.
