Duplicated Assessments

Duplicated Assessments

Two of my OLA Benchmark assessments were duplicated by Performance Matters in the Test Center menu.  It seems this happens, at times, after an update but the first time this has happened this year '19-'20.  The tag indicates that I copied the assessments on a specific date but I did not, as the test ID # does not match mine on my record sheet.  Plus, I write the date on my sheet when the assessment was either copied or created.  When assessments were duplicated last year, the tag read "Admin" as the Author.  This time it has my name as the Author.  I understand that Performance Matters used to "rolled over" assessments from the previous year before I was hired to enter items and create assessments.  Whenever this happens "Admin" was listed as the Author.

When I noticed this duplication this morning, I made a note of the duplicate test ID # and the date.  Next, I closed the testing and scoring windows.  *NOTE - I copied over my Grade 5 assessment on September 26, 2019 but the duplicate indicates it was copied on July 30, 2019.

When my original 2019-20 OLA assessments are scheduled to be opened, I plan to use my own test ID # assigned to me when I copied over the assessments.

My questions:

1. Should I ignore this duplication and expect that it will resolve itself?

2. Should I delete the two duplicate assessments?

3. Do you suggest I report it to my Local Accountability Coordinator as a ticket?

Thank you for your help. 🙂

Hello,

And thank you for contacting us throug the Community.  You can delete the duplicate assessment as long as it does not have any scores tied to it.  That way, no one will accidentally use it.  If it happens again I would create a ticket but for now, if you are able to delete it, I would just take care of it that way.

Thank you,

Marisa
