Cumulative Info: Current Year GPA

Hello!

Our transcripts obviously have cumulative GPA on them- in years past the current years GPA would not show up until obviously the end of the year as quarter GPA is not included the final weighted (We only recieve credit off of completed semester long and year long classes)

Why would the current year start showing now as 0.000? This is obviously stressing our seniors out and I would like to get it fixed for them to just be blank again.

Thanks!!

Troubleshooting a GPA is very difficult without access to your PS. We would need to see the actual calculation/parameters to begin with.

We have not changed our formulas from years past - so just not sure why a change would appear in our students having a 0.000 for their current year after the Q1 store. Here is what I inherited and am working with as far as formulas go.

From what I see the "Weighted 12" GPA is taking the

SUM of the GPA Points + Added Value TIMES Potential Credit DIVIDED BY the SUM of the Potential Credit

Of ALL grade_level 12 stored grades that Count in GPA.

Based on that, my guess is that Q1 grades were not stored with Potential Credit, because a 0 in the Potential Credit field would "break" that calculation, as you cannot divide by 0, and all of the other grades in the calc would also be 0, because anything multiplied by 0 is 0.
