Can I change an LTI 1.3 app once it's been published?

My organization has published an LTI 1.3 to the Schoology Learning App Center. We need to edit it to include a new course placement. Is it safe for us to make an update to a published tool without negatively impacting users who have already installed it?

I am having this same issue. Want to add a new placement, but don't want to brick the integration for thousands of users while the app awaits approval.
