Access to Summer School Grades for Students

I am the only teacher at my school teaching summer classes, and while the classes have been set up and I can enter grades and attendance, my students do not know how to access their grades on PowerSchool. They say they get a notification on their phone when I update a grade and they can see their final grade for the class, but they cannot see the individual grades for assignments I have entered.

What is the process for students to be able to see their grades for summer school? Do the administrators need to do anything that will enable students to see their official grades? I think summer school was set up as a separate term, so how can students access that term?

Hi! @bperez1,

There are Designated Support Contacts within each district that can assist you with how-to questions and troubleshooting steps for PowerSchool products.  I recommend reaching out to the Designated Support Contacts who should be able to assist you with the summer school grades process for students.

I am at a private school and we are not part of any district. I contacted the people in charge of PowerSchool at our school, but they do not know how to do this either.

I'm teaching a summer course in German for Reading (individual and group classes on a daily basis). How can parents and students see the Report Cards, grades for group tasks and final individual grades? I'd appreciate any helpful guides.

Thank you for your question in Powerschool Community!

Parent Portal enables parents to see the grades and other information of their kids.  But, Parent Portal lets the parents see what is on the quick lookup.  If the course is scheduled in Powerschool, then they can see the grades and assignments of this course through the parent portal. If the course, since it is summer, is being tracked another way and not scheduled in Powerschool, then the parents will only be able to see the final grade in the portal once it has been entered in Powerschool.
