Default the cursor to the search bar again. Lost that function with the update and now have to click it there every time.  

I also feel that it has added steps with the icons.  Spending more time getting to a page than before when I was able to just click on the page I wanted from the sidebar.  I am utilizing the bookmark bar.

Moving into the weeds on this suggestion/question.   Our district has moved to a standards based grading system.  The new system allows standards grades to carry over from the previous quarter.  Due to this system, when you are putting in assignments in Q3 (or any quarter after Q1) you see all of the assignments for the entire year.  To help solve this problem we have teachers using filter view to filter the assignments by date to find things.  However, the filter view doesn't stay after you click to an assignment.  Every time you click to view an assignment and come back to the assignment list you have to reenter the filter.  This is probably not a view that most people use, but is there a way to make that filter view stick so when you return it stays set until you click it off.
