Q&A: What is End of life email that I received?

Summary

This article explains what an "End of Life" (EOL) notification means and what to expect when PowerSchool discontinues a product or service.

Question

What is End of life email I received?

Answer

An End of Life (EOL) notification indicates that a PowerSchool product or service is being officially retired. This typically means:

  • No Further Updates: The product will no longer receive updates, including security patches or new features.
  • No Support: Technical support and customer service for the product will no longer be available.
  • Discontinuation: The product is officially discontinued, and users are encouraged to transition to newer solutions or versions.

EOL notifications are usually sent well in advance to give you time to plan and migrate to an alternative solution.

If you’ve received an EOL notification and have questions, please contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM). If you're unsure how to reach your CSM or the Customer Success Team, log into the PowerSchool Community, navigate to the Customer Connect tab, and select Success (accessible to Technical Contacts only).
