Word Appearing Differently than Typed

Super weird.  The names of two of my references were changed.  I tried editing and even though I changed it to the correct spelling, it still appeared incorrectly.  One's last name is "Hotz" by it reads as "Cold."  Another's first name is Jen and it reads as "This is."  I cannot send out job applications with the incorrect names as references!!!!!!! What is up?!?!?!?!?!!?
