Several people have reported an issue that they cannot login even after verifying their email. They request a password reset and they don't receive an email to reset.
This has been an ongoing issue and it does not seem to change at any time. I talked with the new AI assistant system and here is some advice:
- Users may be unable to log in to the system for several reasons, including issues with the email verification process, incorrect login credentials, or potential system errors after updates. If the email verification fails, users will not be able to access their accounts and may need to create a new account. Additionally, if there are known issues with the system, such as problems with LDAP logins after an upgrade, this could also prevent access.
- If you haven't received an email to reset your password, first check your spam or junk folders to ensure it hasn't been filtered there. If you still don't see it, try requesting the password reset again, ensuring you enter the correct email address associated with your account. If you continue to experience issues, consider using the option to answer security questions for password recovery, if available. Additionally, ensure that your email provider is not blocking emails from the sender's address.
- If the current account recovery methods do not work, creating a new account with a different email address is necessary. However, this new account will not retain any information from the previous account. Therefore, it's important to consider the loss of previous data when opting for this solution.
It appears the best solution is to create a new login with a different email. I hope PowerSchool/TalentEd is able to work through this soon. It's becoming frustrating and embarrassing to not have applicants be able to fill out an application.
