When swift K12 went out, our school signed up for School Messenger. We used SMS messaging 95% of the time with Swift. I realize that people have to opt in to use it. I opted in with my cell phone and have been trying to get it to send a text to my phone and I cannot get it give me the option of SMS. Is there something I need to configure in the settings. I can tell you that our community doesn't want voice calls. The parents and kids want the basics in a text and that's that which is what SM described when they sold us the product. Please advise.

Hello Nate, thanks for your note. Can you email me on carl.hughes@powerschool.com so I can investigate further? Let me know the school district name. It sounds like support have to enable SMS on your account but I'll know more once I have had the chance to look.
