How To: Re-Enable Push Notifications in SchoolMessenger CMA

After you have taken ownership of your CustomApp, certain configuration updates will be performed by your Customer Success Manager or a member of PowerSchool Technical Support. This resource includes information on how to re-enable push notifications once those updates have been made.

 

Push Notifications via CustomApp Builder

To send a push notification via the CustomApp Builder, take the following steps:

 

  1. Navigate to http://builder.customschoolapps.net/ and log in
  2. Select the Settings icon, then Push Notifications
  3. Select the New button
  4. Input the Audience, Title, Message, and Delivery Date details as necessary
  5. Select Save to send the notification

 

Push Notifications via Communicate

To send a push notification via SchoolMessenger Communicate, take the following steps:

 

  1. Log in to your SchoolMessenger Communicate account
  2. Select New Broadcast
  3. Input SubjectType, and Recipients for the broadcast
  4. Select Continue
  5. Select Email
  6. Compose your message
  7. Select Social, then Feed/Desktop/Push
  8. Input Title and Message for the notification
  9. Under Feed Category Name, select District Push
  10. Select Save
  11. Select Continue
  12. Select Send Now to complete the process and send your notification
