After you have taken ownership of your CustomApp, certain configuration updates will be performed by your Customer Success Manager or a member of PowerSchool Technical Support. This resource includes information on how to re-enable push notifications once those updates have been made.
Push Notifications via CustomApp Builder
To send a push notification via the CustomApp Builder, take the following steps:
- Navigate to http://builder.customschoolapps.net/ and log in
- Select the Settings icon, then Push Notifications
- Select the New button
- Input the Audience, Title, Message, and Delivery Date details as necessary
- Select Save to send the notification
Push Notifications via Communicate
To send a push notification via SchoolMessenger Communicate, take the following steps:
- Log in to your SchoolMessenger Communicate account
- Select New Broadcast
- Input Subject, Type, and Recipients for the broadcast
- Select Continue
- Select Email
- Compose your message
- Select Social, then Feed/Desktop/Push
- Input Title and Message for the notification
- Under Feed Category Name, select District Push
- Select Save
- Select Continue
- Select Send Now to complete the process and send your notification
