Our school already has a hardware vendor, why should I buy my PowerSchool hardware through PowerSchool?

How will PowerSchool ship my new hardware, and can I track my shipments online?

Answer

PowerSchool will ship your hardware directly from the manufacturer via one of the major ground delivery services (such as FedEx or UPS). Tracking information outlining what is included in each shipment, projected delivery dates and status of your order will be made available to you online.

I already have some hardware I’d like to utilize for my new PowerSchool environment, do I have to order the entire hardware package through PowerSchool to take advantage of your discounted prices?

Answer

No, you are welcome to purchase your equipment from any supplier, use what you have in place today, and only order from PowerSchool what you need.

 

Question

I currently have a hardware rack in place today with some open spaces, how do I know if I need more space to accommodate the PowerSchool hardware installation?

Answer

By working directly with PowerSchool to assess your hardware needs, we can identify the amount of rack space required for the installation and help you determine your space requirements.

 

Question

I am planning on ordering my new hardware through PowerSchool, how will I know what the power requirements will be?

Answer

PowerSchool will notify you of the power requirements prior to shipping your hardware so you can ensure facilities are in place prior to installation.

Can my staff install the new hardware as it arrives or does PowerSchool have to perform the install?

You are welcome to utilize your staff to rack and cable any or all hardware components prior to the onsite visit by PowerSchool.
