PowerSchool Technical Solutions Group

To assist you with the several aspects of managing PowerSchool, the Technical Solutions Group ("TSG") is pleased to offer a wide range of technical service offerings that customers can choose from before, during, and after their implementation. Experienced TSG Systems Engineers are available to work on-site or off-site with the district technical resources to provide technical expertise relating to the deployment and configuration of PowerSchool and its underlying infrastructure.

The most popular TSG services include:

  1. Enterprise Management Service ("EMS"):  As the flagship of TSG's many offerings, EMS provides an end-to-end comprehensive managed service solution that includes 24/7/365 environment monitoring, nightly backups and long-term storage of data, unlimited updates of PowerSchool, Oracle, state and provincial reporting, SIF, operating system, and other software, emergency restorations of production instances and weekly refreshes of data to non-production instances, and infrastructure support from 4AM to 9PM Pacific Time Monday through Friday and 7AM to 6PM Pacific Time Saturday and Sunday.     

  2. PowerSchool 12 Upgrade:  These one-time deployment services are best suited for PowerSchool customers with only an occasional need for technical services and provide the completion of the procedures necessary to upgrade a self-hosted instance of PowerSchool to the two most recent major releases of the world's most popular student information system. 

  3. Comprehensive Infrastructure Solution ("CIS"):  This comprehensive "plug-and-play" solution provides our customers with one or more servers (pre-installed with the latest release of PowerSchool and Oracle) shipped right to their door, the upgrade or migration of any existing data, and one year of EMS for a very competitive price.  

 

Our new offerings we are excited to provide our customers include:

  1. Security Advisory Service ("SAS"): This service provides customers with a review and appraisal of the status and degree of risk of cyberthreats.  SAS provides a complete end-to-end analysis of the assets found within the PowerSchool environment, an evaluation of the likely threats and risks, and a robust set of prescriptions to institute and reinforce the most effective means to correct and mitigate the threats and risks TSG discovers in our customer's environment.

  2. SSL Certificate Administration ("SCA"): This service provides self-hosted customers with a two-year subscription to a 256-bit military grade SSL certificate and the services necessary to configure it your site, integrate it into your PowerSchool instance, and administer it for two years.  
  3. Update Subscription Service ("USS"):  This service provides customers will unlimited annual updates and yearly feature releases to your Business Plus or eFinancePlus self-hosted environments.  We also provide overnight and weekend services to minimize downtime to your end users. 

TSG offers a multitude of services designed to suit most unique needs and circumstances.  These are generally categorized as:

PowerSchool Technical Services are available and provide various offerings relating to the deployment and technical configuration of, or data migration to, instances of PowerSchool. Services are also available for customized training, consultation, and best practices documentation according to your specific PowerSchool needs.

Infrastructure Technical Services are available for the design, integration, and support of the latest’s technologies. Our experienced System Engineers are well-versed in the design and deployment of hardware-related infrastructure configurations to support various PowerSchool applications.

Hardware and Software Procurement are available through TSG and offers a wide range of hardware and 3rd party software, designed to meet the needs specific to your deployment. PowerSchool has partnered with major hardware and 3rd party software manufacturers to resell hardware and 3rd party software directly to PowerSchool customers at discounted costs.

Client Support Offerings are available to assist you with ongoing administrative maintenance of your PowerSchool application and support of your deployed infrastructure, the Technical Solutions Group also offers packages that include infrastructure support, data restoration, and off-site data backups.

Comprehensive Bundled Solutions are also available and provide complete comprehensive packages consisting of hardware, 3rd party software, professional services, and on going support.
