1. PowerSchool Community vs. PowerSchool Parent Portal
PowerSchool Community is NOT where you see your child’s grades or classes.
It is only for help articles and support.
👉 To see your daughter’s dashboard, grades, attendance, and progress, you must use the PowerSchool Parent Portal (or PowerSchool mobile app).
Your school (BASIS Richardson) provides a specific PowerSchool Parent Portal link. If you are not sure you used the correct link, check:

2. Which email should you use to log in?
Do NOT use your daughter’s school email.
✅ You should log in as a parent using your own email (Gmail is fine).

Students use their school email for Schoology

Parents use their personal email for PowerSchool
3. Do you need to add your children to your PowerSchool account?
Yes.
When you create a parent account, you must add your children using:

The Student Access ID
-
The Access Password
These are provided by the school (usually by email or on enrollment paperwork).
If you do not have them, you must contact the school office.
4. Where do you register to see student learning and coursework?
This is done in Schoology, not PowerSchool.

PowerSchool → grades, attendance, reports

Schoology → assignments, lessons, messages from teachers
How parents access Schoology:

Go to the Schoology Parent Portal

Create a parent account

Use the Parent Access Code provided by the school to link your child
Parents do not log in using the student’s email.
