How to Start A Search
You can start a search from anywhere in our Community.
From the home page, your default will be to search All community.
On other pages, your default will be This category, Knowledge base, Board, etc. to help you find the most relevant content.
You can adjust your search parameters by clicking in the box to the left of the search bar and selecting where you want to search.
Search Results
Once you enter a search term, you'll see results based on keywords. The results in the Search bar should display the article’s full title and location along with more details on the article.
Recommended Articles
From time to time we add recommended articles to search results to highlight key resources that you may find the most helpful. You will see these with the word recommended to help narrow down your results.
Advanced Search
If you would like to narrow down this search a bit more, just leave the search bar blank and click Enter.
This will take you to our advanced search page where you can narrow down your results by Location, Author, Date, Metadata, Type of Post, and what the post Contains.
From here you can still search the full Community or decide how you would like to narrow down your search.
Let's say you searched the full Community for Single Sign On, here is what you may see:
You'll see that we have several articles on this topic and can select the one you are looking for.
If you already know where the item is located, you can click on Location and filter for that specific area:
You can also, click on Advanced for additional ways to modify your search. Some suggestions you can try include:
Search Filters
If you apply a search filter, such as a Category, Knowledge Base, a Board, etc., please note that the filter may still be on as you continue to search. Be sure to clear any filters if you decide to have that filter applied to your next search. You can remove a filter by clicking the X next to the filter.
