We have a parent that is not receiving the daily email communications with their child's grades. She stated she would get them last year and I tried trouble shooting with the notification toggle switch and cannot recreate what she is saying.
Are their different settings in an Android compared to an Apple?
Thank you,
Is there a way to prevent parents from receiving the push notifications? We do not want push notifications sent out over the summer while we are still modifying students schedules.
I second this! I really wish we could turn off the "Your Parent account information has changed" while we clean up Contacts.
Its a real pain to field these worried calls as we clean up the backend.

Disabling Push Notification is possible under Start Page > School Management > Parent/Student Access > Available Features
@ColeT Unless it's bee updated recently, thats an all or nothing switch. I'm looking for individual Parent Push control so I can turn off the "Your Parent account information has changed" but leave Attendance and Grades notifications on.
I was just posting for posterity because this article is the only one about push notifications and anyone searching will be lost and need that info I posted.
I have an issue where the Parent account has Grade Push notifications turned off--- but they still receive them.
Hello,
Parents and students using the new mobile app can now receive instant push notifications whenever grades change or attendance records are updated, including new absence codes or corrections. If you wish to disable certain notifications, you can do so directly in the app by logging in, opening the menu, selecting Settings, choosing Notifications, and unchecking the types you no longer want before submitting your changes. If you prefer to manage notifications outside the app, Android users can go to Menu > Settings > Applications > PowerSchool, while iOS users can open Settings, select PowerSchool, and adjust notification preferences there. If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact your school district for assistance.
The need is for PowerSchool Admins to have the ability to turn on/off the mobile notifications the SIS is pushing out. If I'm cleaning contacts for instance, I don't need a push notification hitting parents phones that their contact info has changed. Of course it did. I just fixed the fact they were in the system 4 times. 🙂
Admins should be able to turn these on and off as needed to do work instead of having the school's offices field calls from rightfully confused parents.
The users is on PS mobile app version 25.11.1 -- NOT MySchoolHub -- the original app.
Attendance and Grade Change push notifications are turned off for this parent account -- but they are still receiving them.
Push notifications are on for the building- as this is desired from most parents -- but it appears the controls from the parent end aren't being honored.
