In the Budget Your Life tool, costs are not updated each year for inflation. The budgeted numbers for each choice (ex: utilities) seem very low. Why are the numbers not updated?
Answer
The discrepancy is caused by a lag in data updates from the US Quarterly Census. It takes time for them to gather their results and distribute the information, which then causes a delay in our ability to reflect those changes in the product.
