Troubleshoot: Verifying Recommendation Status

Summary

The status of your recommendation requests will update as it moves through the stages of creation, submission, acceptance by the recommender, and then submission to the organization. You can view the status of your recommendation requests by following the instructions below.

 

Resolution

  1. Check your email. Notification emails from noreply@schoolrecs.com automatically send to the address associated with your PowerSchool Enrollment account to update you on progress of the recommendation.
  2. You may navigate back to the same link used to submit the form and should be able to see the submitted application along with the next steps. Click on the link to the school district's SchoolRecs portal:
  3. If asked to login, use the existing account that was created/used to submit the student's application.
    Note: Ensure you are using the same account so that the recommendation can be linked back to the student's application.
  4. Your recommendation request will be in one of these statuses:
    1. Needs Your Attention- indicates that the request has not yet been submitted to the recommender
    2. Waiting for Response from Recommender- indicates that the request has not yet been accepted by the recommender
    3. Waiting for Recommender to Take Action on Form- indicates that the request has been accepted by the recommender, but has not yet been submitted
    4. Submitted Online by Recommender- indicates that the recommendation has been submitted
  5. If you are not able to locate your recommendation request in the Recommendation/Transcript Center, this may indicate that you have not created the appropriate recommendation request. For help submitting a request form click here.

 

Still Not Working?

If these steps do not help you verify the status of recommendation, contact your school district’s Enrollment office for further assistance.

I'm attempting to submit a student's recommendation.  It appears to be stuck.  Could you help, please?
