Divorced parents - how to set up 2 parent accounts to see the same student?

In a divorce situation where both parents amicably share custody 50/50 and both are involved in our son's life, how can we set up 2 different accounts so we can indiidually see the information published online by Powerschool?   Can more than one login account be set up with one snapcode?   CanI send my Ex the snapcode and she create a second account?  Used  keyword: 'divorce' and nothing appeared in this forum.

Hello @mrmmills , thank you for participating in PowerSchool Community!

Snapcodes can only be associated with a single PS Enrollment account. I would suggest reaching out to the school district for further guidance on how to review your student's information.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Ok finally got answers from PowerSchool and my School District.

1 - Only one parent (the one with the SnapCode) will have read\write access to perform the 'once a year' enrollment.  The other parent would only have read access to the information that was input on the Districts registration website.

2. This is 'by design' so parents that adverse to each other, don't delete each other or overwrite information that the other input(emergency contact information, etc).

3. In the event the parent with the Snapcode is impaired or unable enroll the student, the parent without the snapcode should contact the Registrar of their son\dtr's school to enroll the student.  If the parent without access needs to update information during the year (you get a new mobile #) they have to contact the school's Registrar to update all new information .

Unfortunately this took almost 2 hours of phone calls, help chat's, and forum posting to find!  I finaly got most this information after elevating my calls to the Director's of our school district's IT Department.

If you do not have the read/write access to your child's account, can you still go in and see what documents are filled out and what is needed? Can you check attendance daily and get copies of the report cards?

Thanks,

Jenna

Thank you for reaching out in the Community!

I recommend reaching out to your child's school to review and discuss the access level you have associated with your parent account.  The school should be able to provide further insight into your access level and assist making any necessary adjustments.
