Hello. I am speaking on behalf of the educators who have used Schoology Basic (including myself). Schoology Basic has been the backbone of my school for over 5 years. I homeschooled many children, and I used Schoology Basic to help streamline my tasks and assignments. When Schoology was bought out by Powerschool, I thought it would be an era of change and better updates to the site. Instead, they closed Schoology Basic for their premium customers who are willing to spend 5k a year. I was recommended Canvas, but it isn't the same. I have been homeschooling kids for the past 10 years and Schoology helped me a lot. We weren't even given time to export all of my assignments that I made for these 5 years. I had to spend months remaking my assignments. Schoology Basic is the best LMS and Powerschool ruined it.
I have reviewed other posts and they all have the same replies. I understand that you have to focus your resources on your platform. However, there are some schools and homeschool teachers like myself who can't afford the 5k per year price for Schoology Enterprise. Powerschool is a multi-billion dollar company. This means that they won't fall to the ground because they have some Schoology Basic users. If money is the issue, make a Schoology Plus or Schoology Premium plan like every other LMS has. Don't just make it for Enterprise users like districts and schools. That's how you lose customers.
Powerschool can do better. I can guarantee that I will get replies saying "We discontinued Schoology Basic to focus on Enterprise users blah blah blah...". I don't want those responses. I want genuine responses from Customer Support Agents.
Signed,
Thomas
