I am going to be graduating with my MA soon that leads to a teaching licensure and I have questions about the additional credits/semester hours you can earn to be placed higher on the salary schedule. In order to obtain those credits and qualify, must you be enrolled in another program or can you simply be a non-degree seeking student? In addition, do those credits need to be specifically graduate level courses? For example, if I were to take language courses that might be beneficial to my career, would those apply?
I’m sure it might differ per state requirements, but I thought I’d ask.
I recommend discussing this with your counselor who can provide better guidance. The PowerSchool Community provides support and the opportunity to collaborate with other users regarding the use of PowerSchool solutions.
