Is there a way to run a report to see if students are missing periods in their schedules? I would prefer to run it by period so it is more manageable.
@tlyles There is a great search feature that allows you to find students with a certain number of classes. In the Search bar, you can use:
And then do equal to, greater than, or less than to find what you want. For example if each student should have 6 periods, you can use:
to find those with fewer than the expected number of classes.
There is also a System Report called Student Schedule Listing that you could run and it would give you a visual of any missing holes, though you would have to look through the report to find those with an odd number of classes.
Is there a way to filter this by grade level?
@cclark82The Student Schedule Listing report can be run for a selection of students, so simply select the grade level you want to look at before running it.
You can also make the searches mentioned into compound searches, for example:
*number_of_classes<6;grade_level=9
@JeffG9 , I have been using *number_of_classes search code, but from this year we have a 2 day schedule with 4 blocks each (each of these four blocks are half blocks), It is A1-A2 (A Block) with a. There are group of students who take half blocks, How could i run a report to see if there is a hole in the students schedule. Thanks in advance.
I recommend the PSCB Custom Reports bundle>Scheduling>Students-Non-Scheduled Periods Report. You will also need the base resources plugin.
