We are allowing our students into input course requests this spring. We have begun testing it to make sure all works well. We have found a course that is giving us trouble. There is a semester journalism course that states " prerequisites have not been met" when a student requests it. We are not sure why this happens because there are no prerequisites for the course. There is no check box for students to select the class. We are not sure how to move forward with this.
Hi @CrystalHunter,
A student does not appear to meet the course prerequisite of having a teacher recommendation, despite a teacher having recommended the student for the class in the correct year. As a result, the student sees the error message in the alerts column when entering course requests.
If the request was submitted by a teacher, ensure that the teacher is associated with the correct department.
Note: On the live side, you can see the department field by selecting the staff member and clicking the Staff Scheduling Preferences screen. In PowerScheduler, you can see the department field by selecting the staff member, and clicking the Teacher Scheduling Preferences screen.
If the request was submitted by a teacher in the correct department, ensure that the course prerequisite has the correct department specified. You can see the prerequisite department field on the Edit Course Prerequisites screen by following the steps below.
