Rounding Grades / Setting decimal points for grade percent

I am using Powerteacher Pro and I am in the process of syncing my Schoology grades with PT Pro. I have everything set up and the sync went well but I have my grade percent rounded to a whole number in Schoology and it has 2 decimal points in PT Pro. Can a teacher adjust the decimal points within their own PT Pro gradebook?

@mmiller2005No, those settings come over from the Admin side of PowerSchool.

@JeffG9  Thank you!!

We were told that this setting would not round UP for grade Percent (89.5 would be 89 not the preferred 90). Additionally, teachers would like to see the decimals to 1 place, but have the final grade round UP for storing and calculating GPA.

Can someone verify this information and advise on settings that will help with this?

@sgosselin The grade will round up if you have the percent cutoff set in the grade scale. See attached.

If my Gradebook settings got changed to 2 decimals at some point during this quarter (Q3) is it ok to change it back to 0 right now?

Hi @kaitlynprochak,

 It is okay to change it back now.  After changing back, re-calculating the grade book to update the grades to remove decimals should be fine.  Please let us know if you notice any unexpected behavior after changing it back.

Thank you so much! All my teachers will have to re-calculate the gradebook correct? Not something I can do

@kaitlynprochak, correct, teachers must run the Recalculate feature themselves.
