I have a teacher who wrote comments in PowerTeacher, verified her grades, but they are not showing up on the report card and were not made historical when everything else was. No other teacher at the grade level or at the school is having this problem. Everything looks when I look through it, so I'm at a loss as to why just these comments are missing. Any ideas?
Hi @ahuffaker,
A common reason behind the comments not being visible would be that the comments may have been entered after the grades were stored. I recommend reaching out to a Designated Support Contact in your school district to request assistance with comments not being printed on report cards.
Same issue here. Except I AM the designated support contact and I have no idea what to do.
Hi @rriggs,
This might be caused because of multiple possible reasons. Please ensure that you are entering the comments within the final traditional grade and not the standard grade. Also, please ensure that the students for whom comments are not populating must not be having multiple enrollment or grades for that course.
Please let me know if this helps.

@ahuffaker Make sure the teacher entered the comments in the correct term. We have both P1 and T1. P1 is the six week Progress Report and T1 is the final trimester grade. I usually have one or two teachers who enter the comments in the wrong term.
I've checked and rechecked. All the advice you all have given has been solid and helped me learn for future issues so that greatly appreciated. Unfortunately she did everything correctly and still cannot get those Teachers comments on the report card to show.
I'm at wits end and it's pretty much to late. The report cards are going out to the parents as is and I've some disappointed staff.
@rriggsIf the transcript object on the object report is pulling the comments from the StoredGrades table, check the Historical Grades for a few of the students for that teacher and see if the comments are stored. If it's a case of the comments being entered after grades were stored, you can always store again just for that teacher's sections.
There are comments in the historical grades.
Hi @rriggs,
Thank you for confirming that.
If you have tried all the above suggestions and are still having the issue, we recommend contacting the PowerSchool SIS Support team who should be able to look into this further and troubleshoot the issue for you. The Contact Support area in PowerSchool Community can ease your way in contacting the PowerSchool SIS Support team by creating a case or launching Chat Support.
@rriggs, did you ever resolve your comments issue not showing on your teacher's report cards?
Hi @rordaz
There can be multiple reasons for comments to not appear on the report card. Firstly, would you please verify if the Report card is customized or not? If it is, please turn off the customizations and check if the blank line for the comments reappears. If the comment line appears, you can change it to the reporting term teacher comment, submit the page and run the report, which should show the comments.
If that's not the case, please verify if the comments were added before the grades were stored as Jeff mentioned.
