Repeated Course Grade Suppression

Hello there - I have read articles and set up about Repeated Course Grade Suppression.....my question to all of you - does anyone use this and is it helpful?  Being new, I do not completely understand this.  All the information that I have received from others, thank you - but just want to know if this is helpful and is it easy to set up?

Repeated Course Grade Suppression is used based on the requirement of a district. It is usually beneficial when students have enrolled for a course multiple times and the maximum number of credits a student receives for taking the course needs to be set. Thus it helps in calculating permanently stored grades for repeating students.
