In eSchoolPlus, I am trying to filter to get a list of which students have Occupational Therapy Services. Is this possible? What would I need to put in for the area and field name in the "Advance Search Criteria"?
Thank you
Hi! @clesheama01,
There are Designated Support Contacts within each district that can assist you with how-to questions and troubleshooting steps for PowerSchool products. I recommend reaching out to the Designated Support Contacts who should be able to assist you with Students' search.
That was my first attempt at trying to figure out a solution was to ask the person within my district. I was told that this is impossible. However, what I know about eSchool, IEPplus, PowerSchool, and Schoology; the answer does not make sense that we are unable to make a list of students that have related services. The designated person in the district told me to run the report in eSchool, then manually look up each student in IEPplus to figure out caseloads. (This would be for close 9000 students.) IEPplus is not rolling over to the new school year until Sept 8 (even if you change the service date), the first day of school. eSchool is updated. So if the report was able to be run in eSchool with the related services, this could give caseloads for staff. This would collectively save literally 100s of hours of work. I have a really hard time believing that running this filter in eSchool is impossible.
Hi @clesheama01
Thank you for posting in the Community!
To assist further, we would like to gather some information. Would you mind sharing the following information:
I am not sure what you mean by program or district defined screen. When I'm logged into eSchool through my district, then go to the advance search, I get a series of drop down choices to search for those criteria. Such as demographics, building, disability. I can not narrow it all the way to if a student receives a related service. (The goal of this search is to create a list for each building of which students receive each related service, so the correct number of staff can be assigned to the building, and the provider knows who).
Yes, this would only be for students actively enrolled in the district. (This is a choice when defining the search.)
Thank you for your help. With Covid-19, there are so many additional moving parts and processes that were not done before. I really appreciate it.
Maureen

To further assist, we would like to gather more information. I recommend reaching out to one of the Designated Support Contacts of your school district who should be able to work with support.
As I've explained before, I tried reaching out at my district. And I was told it was impossible. But their solution makes no sense to me as a reasonable time efficient solution.
Hi @clesheama01
To troubleshoot further, we would like to know where the data is being entered. It would be great if you could provide a screenshot of the advance search criteria page.
When I'm taking a screenshot, it does not show up the same as my screen. ? Some of the fields that I see on my screen are not being saved in the screenshot. I can share what I can get in the screenshot, but it is not what I see on my screen.
I tried to go to a link to ask for more help from PowerSchool, but once I get to that page it says that I don't have permission to ask a question on that forum.
Hi @clesheama01
Thank you for getting back to us!
If you are unable to take the screenshot, would you please let us know the steps you are following to filter the fields in advance search criteria?
While you are taking a screenshot, if the values are not being saved in the screenshot, we recommend you to take a picture with any other device if possible and share the same here. So, we can take a look to assist you further.
I know it has been awhile since this was asked however I think I found a solution. It may give you more information than needed but I think it is a help.
Do a multidimentional report
For type of info- select students
For selection criteria- select look up ID and then select the schools that you want to filter by.
Then go back to type of info and select Students> student services
For 1st dimension-row- click in the box and then select related services.
Finally click accept.
Once the report is generated, you can then select type of service to filter.
Hope this helps someone!!!

Did you follow the directions that I added? It seems to give the information that you are looking for.
