Hi @kahallmark,

Running Graduation Progress Report for a large number of students may impact the performance of the system. I recommend reaching out to one of the Designated Support Contacts of your district who should be able to assist you further with running this report for you.

Is this still the answer to this issue? Seems as if this should have been fixed by now. Please verify.

Hi @alanboneusi,

Thank you for reaching out in the PowerSchool Community!  After reviewing this information with the Engineering team, they have confirmed that printing the graduation progress report is not an issue.  It's more about the quantity of data being processed at once.  Therefore, they suggested if you want to run the report, its best to run it for batches of students, instead of all students at once to make sure it perform wells and does not impact the system.

Thanks for this response. With all due respect, as the customer, I think there is an issue with a feature being so brittle. The data capture can only handle a limited number of students without creating problems, and it sounds the same is true of running the report.

As a system administrator, I can tell you that it's an issue to manage a feature with so many opportunities for failure. I can tell users not to run these processes for large numbers of students, but inevitably, someone will, either purposely or by accident.

The alternative is to require users wanting to run the report to request it from me, which creates a whole new set of problems. I really wish PS hadn't rolled this feature out if you expect us to consider the current state satisfactory.
