Planning to move from Edison,NJ to West Cary,NC. Need help understanding the transition with honors

Hello, We are planning to relocate to West Cary,NC from North Edison,NJ .My kid is in grade 7 and in Algebra 1.

We're trying to understand how the transition will be done (especially with Math honors) and the structure of the honors program in NC , Cary Middle schools.
