I mean exactly what I said. Three previous years of Schoology and no issues with assessments. Then around October this year, kids can't access assessments I create in their class. They get an error message. It took weeks but I finally figured out that if I create them in one certain class then copy to courses, they don't get the error message and they can open them. Of course these are different classes and the assessments need different content, so after creating and copying, I have to go in to each class and edit the assessment to tailor it to each class. It has been such a pain and so time-consuming but no one knows how to help. Yes, the settings are correct to enable submissions, no password, correct grading period, correct date/time. I've checked these a bazillion times. There is no obvious reason as to why one class works and the others don't. Any ideas? Our district Schoology team is stumped.
