Incident Type codes Error

Hi,

We're trying to set up incident management for our school, but we've run into a problem. We have incident types set up, but it doesn't seem to be working. We keep getting the error message "To add new incidents, you must have access to Incident Type codes." Does anyone know what we can do to get past this?

Many thanks,

Emily

Hi @eboothmos,

Thank you for posting your question in the PowerSchool Community!

This error is typically caused by the user who's creating the incident not having access to the incident type through their default group or a Role in the school that has a group attached to it. You can control what groups have access to incident types by performing the following steps:

  1. Log in to PowerSchool SIS
  2. Select any school or the District Office
  3. Navigate to Start Page > System (under Setup) > Groups (under Security)
  4. Select a group you'd like to modify access to the Incident types for
  5. In the Accessible Incident Types, check the checkbox for the incident types you'd like to vie access to (see the screen shot below)
  6. Click Submit

Hi @Sanaa_Ababneh,

I am sorry that you are still not able to see the Incident types, I would like to look into this with you. Would you please provide a screenshot showing your setup for the group that you have access to when in Discipline?
